Brian McClure wrote: Gursum is a small market town on a plateau between Harar and Jigjiga. Gursum was the district (awraja) name and since it was the seat of an awraja that is what the town was generally called. The real town name is Funyanbira. With the new ethnic pride this Oromo name is largely used now. MORE
